The Junior Dolphin Encounter allows
children who are too young to participate in our swim
programs a chance to interact with our dolphins from a
floating platform. This encounter will begin with an educational
briefing designed for young children. During the educational
portion of the program we will talk to the participants
about our dolphins, and teach them the difference of mammal’s
verses fish, basic dolphin anatomy, and the different
dolphin species. They will learn the importance of recycling
to protect the environment and will cover the do's and
don’ts of the encounter.
The children participants will then meet our dolphins
from a floating platform. The Trainer will point out of
different characteristics of each dolphin. The children
will interact with the dolphins by doing some basic behaviors
like body rubs, a kiss, and toy retrieval.
